CHATHAM COUNTY - WHERE THE ARTS & THE OUTDOORS MEET

|
One of the largest counties in the state, Chatham is rapidly growing more popular for its diversity, lively arts community, and small town / rural charm. |

For those looking for larger home sites in close proximity to the Research Triangle, Raleigh, Chapel Hill etc, Chatham is quickly becoming their #1 choice. Much of the western section of the county remains undeveloped for now. The north-eastern section of the county is presently the fastest growing portion and includes the county seat Pittsboro, Lake Jordan, and close proximity to Chapel Hill, Cary, RDU, RTP, and Durham.
Over the next several years more than a half-dozen major golf courses and golf communities are planned for development. There are presently three golf courses: Chapel Ridge, The Preserve at Jordan Lake and The Governors Club.

Approximately half way between the centers of Chapel Hill and Pittsboro lies Fearrington Village. An active adult development featuring a Relais & Chateaux memeber Inn, a 5-star resturarnt and many quaint shoppes.
The area around Pittsboro is well known for its artist community, and continues to attract new vibrant energy. "The Incubator" an artists development project promises to foster even more local talent. Prices here run the gamut from $100,000 to well over $1,000,000. At present the average home is roughly $250,000+/-.
